Business case for 33kW PV installationFeed-In Tariff pays offIn order to arrange a bank loan, this client had to present a bona-fide business case for his planned PV installation. We advised him that 33kWp was the most appropriate size for his installation, bearing in mind available roof area, the underlying roof structure, areas of shading, and the details of the Feed-In Tariff. We then proceeded to develop the business case for the installation, based on costs (capital costs from installation quotes, resulting finance costs, annual repair and maintenance costs) and income (from projected energy export, bearing in mind likely degradation of PV modules). The client was able to present our findings to the bank in support of his loan application. |
